Is Meningitis Vaccine Required And Registered

As of December 2021, COVID-xix vaccination is Not required for students entering Texas A&M International Academy.COVID-19 vaccines offer protection against COVID-19, including astringent affliction and death. Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine Requirement

Texas law (Senate Bill 1107 and Senate Bill 62) requires that students* entering institutions of higher education either receive a vaccination against bacterial meningitis or meet certain criteria for declining such a vaccination at least 10 days prior to the offset solar day of their beginning semester. Students who practise not comply with the requirement are subject to being dropped from their classes.

The Bacterial Meningitis vaccination requirement applies to:

  • New students
  • Transfer students
  • Returning TAMIU students who have experienced a break in their TAMIU enrollment of at to the lowest degree one autumn or spring semester

Y'all are exempt from the vaccination requirement if whatsoever of the following apply:

Evidence of vaccination must be submitted using i of the post-obit formats:

  • A document bearing the signature or stamp of the physician or his/her designee, or public health personnel (must include the month, day, and year the vaccination was administered).

International Records:  Bacterial Meningitis documents must be in English. If your vaccine record is not in English, have your doctor or his/her designee complete the 'Testify of Vaccination against Bacterial Meningitis Course'. You must submit this grade as proof of your vaccination directly to Med+Proctor.

How to submit testify of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination:

  • All evidence of vaccination must be submitted through Med+Proctor.
  • There is no charge for this service; all the same, students have the option to purchase a membership for a once fee of $x.  This membership volition provide lifetime admission to your immunization data that can be shared with others, as y'all designate.
  • We suggest submitting your documentation equally shortly equally possible, just no later than 2 weeks earlier your intended registration date, to prevent possible registration delays.  Verification of immunizations may have up to 2 business days for notification and hold to be removed from the student's Banner account.

Step 1: Register
